Welcome to our family of Border Collies!

Whether you are seeking a family pet or a working dog for farm or ranch, Border Collies excel beyond expectations. The breed is noted for uncanny intelligence and obedience. They are loving and affectionate, but can also wrangle a herd of sheep singlehandedly. Border Collies have also proven to be excellent assistance dogs, as well as SAR dogs. You will not find a more motivated, dedicated, loyal companion. Explore the links you will find here, and search the web on your own. You will find a treasure trove of information helpful in determining the fit for you and your family.

We invite any degree of questions regarding our Border Collies, our personal convictions and practices, and questions about the breed in general. Where possible, we strongly encourage visiting to see the available puppies to confirm any specific interest in a puppy. We will assist you with any information and/or pictures of puppies you express an interest in, as well as trying to keep you up to date with pictures as your puppy grows and gets ready to come live with you. We want this adoption process to be as positive as we can make it.

We also back you up with this policy: if something goes wrong with your puppy, we will take it back. If you suddenly have to move to Guam, we retain first rights to your puppy/dog, and will work with you by either receiving it back or assisting in making a placement that meets our standards. We never want any of our puppies/dogs to experience a rescue or shelter if we can at all avoid it.

Cowboy Border Collies is a small family concern where we provide puppies that are from excellent bloodlines and proven quality dispositions. We are highly concerned in the first several weeks of our puppies' lives that we foster the best environment for starting long, fulfilling lives with their forever families. Lots of hands-on interaction from birth, living in our home for the first 4 to 5 weeks with all the routine sounds, smells and goings-on that prepares them for successful indoor living later is standard for all the litters. The puppies are then transitioned to an outdoor life in a larger containment, and eventually to free range on our 49 acre farm. Our emphasis on the time we have with them is to begin an affectionate, high interaction environment that we hope to continue with carefully selected families.

We place our wee furry children up and down the east coast, but we do not ship them. Our pricing is modest in order to not be placing puppies that will become accessories among other toys; the puppies are our family first, and then family for our clients.
